Colors for this page

A dense climbing-rose arch frames stepping stones and a patch of grass. Many small blossoms gather around the open center without closing off the path.

Garden rose
Vine green
Stone gray
Wood brown

A suggested palette; it does not have to match the example exactly.

Fill the two arch supports with wood brown.
Work around the arch, coloring roses pink and leaves green one cluster at a time.
Use pale gray on the stepping stones and leave the center path open.

A simpler way to color

Skip shading and use pink for every rose, green for all foliage, and brown for arch and stones.

Level of detail: Many small flowers and leaves repeat densely around both sides of the arch.

Talk about it: If you walked through this arch, what scent or sound would you notice first?
