Colors for this page
Three pumpkins ride in a wooden farm cart while scattered maple leaves mark the autumn setting. The broad pumpkin sections and narrow cart slats offer two clear kinds of coloring area.
- Harvest orange
- Weathered brown
- Maple gold
- Leaf red
A suggested palette; it does not have to match the example exactly.
- Color the three pumpkins orange, keeping each rib inside its outline.
- Fill the cart slats and handle with weathered brown.
- Use gold and red on the scattered maple leaves, leaving the background white.
A simpler way to color
Skip shading and use orange for pumpkins, brown for the cart, and gold for every leaf.
Level of detail: The pumpkins and wheels are broad, while cart slats and leaf points are narrower.
Talk about it: Where do you imagine this cart of pumpkins is headed next?
